Spiritual revival is, "times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19. It is the Holy Spirit making you alive to your Christian walk and God's purpose for your life. Spiritual revival comes after true repentance.

When I was an Episcopalian, I went to church on Sundays and didn't think much about God again until Saturday. After I gave my heart to the Lord and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, my whole heart soul and mind was open to God. It was as though someone turned on the lights, in a very dark room. Let me give you another example.

Experiencing a spiritual revival is like telling the kids they are going to Disney Land! You become so excited about everything Jesus! You want to pray more, give more, study more. You want to be an example of Christ's love. You want to be a vessel for God's presence every day.

Spiritual revival is not automatic and your Christian walk will go through highs and lows. Every Christian will go through periods of dryness or complacency. Even a spirit-filled believer can become lukewarm. This is when we look for a Revival or special meeting to set us on fire and put us right again. Get under the spout where the glory comes out, they used to say! However, maintaining your passion for God can not be depended on church revivals. It has to be an inside job.

What do I mean by this? I am not saying, we don’t need to go to a revival or special meetings. What I am saying is that you can go to all the meetings you want, but if when you go home, you do not stay in the word and have a prayer life, you will soon lose what you received in the revival.
Spiritual Revival Begins Within
We have the life of God within and it is our responsibility to prime the pump and keep your spiritual revival going. John 7:37 -38 37. In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

There is a move of God in each of us. Are you willing to allow the Lord to release you from burdens and the shackles of life? The scripture says, “out of YOUR bell, shall flow rivers of LIVING water.” You can prime the pump with praise, worship and an active relationship with God.

He will get you going, but you have to keep it going. If we are willing He is inviting us into the fullness of all He has for us. 2 Corinthians 4:16 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

The next time you go to a revival, make up your mind to get everything you can from God, and once you get it, be committed it to do your part to keep the fire and anointing going, and pass it on to someone else. He has something amazing for each one of us.

I am committed to cooperate with his working in my life until I shine with the Glory of God. I may have to endure chastisement, I may have to endure many breakings, however, to keep revival in my life, it will be worth it. Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Six Steps to Spiritual Revival
Praying daily - (KJV) A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; - Ps 63:1

Obedience to God's Word - 1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV) 22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Be Quick to repent - Acts 3:19 - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Praise and Worship - Psalm 138:2 (KJV) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Fellowship with believers - Psalm 133: 1, 2 - King James Version (KJV) 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2. 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

Reading and studying the Word - 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
