God is Looking for Faithful Servants

When you see someone moving in a spiritual gift, such as prophecy or praying for the sick, you may  think, “I wish I could do that!”  The truth is, you can do that!  The Bible says, we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. There are no limits to how God will use you, if you are willing and make yourself available.

1 Corinthians 14:12  Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

If you talk to anyone who has been in ministry any length of time, they will tell you, that everything is a process.  Growing in the knowledge of the Lord, is a process of learning and then being tested on what we have learned.  Putting your faith in practice.

James 2:18  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Spiritual Testing

Can you remember when you turned 16, and wanted to drive the family vehicle?  Your parents didn’t just turn over, but made sure they didn’t instantly, but there came a time when they knew you were ready for the new responsibility.  It is the same way with spiritual things.  There will be times when you may even doubt yourself, or fear you will disappoint God.

You can not disappoint the Lord, when you step out in faith, with a pure heart.  As you exercise your faith, you will gain confidence that God is leading the way.  Ephesians 3:12  In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.  It is not your education, but your availability!

You don’t have to go to bible school, or have a license or be ordained to serve The Lord, or be used by Him.  Don’t let anyone talk you out of your purpose.  You are called to be a minister of reconciliation.  You are called to speak the Word of  God.  You are called to pray for the sick, to cast out demons, to speak in tongues. You are called to Prophecy and the whole nine yards!   Have your made yourself available?  Are you willing to step out when you hear the voice of God?  Look for opportunities to minister the love of Christ.   Look for a need, and then minister to that need and your heavenly father will be pleased.

Spiritual Process

No one gets saved one day, and the next, day be a Billy GrahamThat should never be the desire of your heart, for it isn’t realistic.  As a child of God, the most prominent desire should be to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love others that, we may serve in the beauty of His holiness.   It is out of this desire, that God will know our affections are set on Him, and that we can be trusted with spiritual things.  Now you are ready for God to begin to enlarge your borders in the things of the Spirit.
