Activate your spiritual gifts. Every believer can be used in the gifts of the spirit. Some show up on their own while others need to be encouraged and coaxed out or activated. Gifts of the spirit definition: The gifts of the spirit, (charismata) or charismatic gifts are spiritual abilities given by the Holy Spirit, for the blessing of others. There are nine in all, which we will talk about further on this site. When used with the compassion of Christ, wisdom, and integrity, they are invaluable tools of ministry. These gifts used along with the fruit of the spirit, bring glory to God. Jesus Christ, as our Apostle of faith, walked in all the spiritual gifts.
Jesus Moving in the Gifts of the Spirit
You see Jesus operating in the word of knowledge and word of wisdom in Luke 5:4-7 when Jesus told Simon to let down his nets after he had worked all night fishing and caught nothing. When Simon obeyed, his nets were so filled with fish, he needed help to get them in. You see Jesus working miracles when he raised the dead and calmed the seas. When Jesus ascended into heaven, he gave gifts to men. Ephesians 4:8. Today, the New Testament church has access to these gifts, for the work of ministry.
What does it mean to Activate a Spiritual Gift?
We all have spiritual gifts, even though we may not have used it yet. It is like when you baby teeth came in. Behind those baby teeth are another set of teeth that will emerge at an appointed time. We can activate our spiritual gifts just my walking by faith. If you have a burden for the sick, go to the hospital and start praying for people. As you do, you will begin to see people being healed. Be willing to serve and minister to others. As a result, you will begin to see those gift manifest.
Do I have a Gift?

Activate your Spiritual Gifts
The Greek word ‘charismata’ in New Testament word means “gifts of grace” and refers to the gifts or special abilities God has given believers through the Holy Spirit. These abilities are not our natural gifts, but supernatural endowments. Once you discover your gift, just like a muscle, can only be developed by use. Look for opportunities to exercise your these abilities. Galatians 6:4 Spiritual Gifts can also be imparted and activate by the laying on of hands by the Prophet or Apostle. They have the authority, to release gifts and abilities as well as destroying yokes off your life.
The Word of God
The word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway. It is very important to understand that the gifts of the spirit are the outgrowth of a close relationship with the Lord. It is the basis of everything we will do in life and ministry. You will never operate effectively in the gifts of the spirit, without knowing the Word of God or an active prayer life. The Bible is our weight and balance. If God tells you to do something or say something, it should always line up with scripture. We have to develop the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives. That is love, peace, joy, patience, meekness, faith, temperance.
He will perfect those gifts and abilities he had given you, to bring glory to his name. So study, the word, memorize the word and allow the word to become a part of you. Most importantly spend time in prayer daily. Only then, when you open your mouth, people will know you have been with God. 2Timothy 2:15.
